Registration and Submission Deadline

All,

I apologize for the late notice with this information.

Updated gmsh files with PhysicalNames

All,

The cgns to gmsh file converted has been fixed to include PhysicalNames that were previously lacking for the test cases CS1, CR1, and MC1. I apologize for any inconvenience the lack of PhysicalNames may have caused.

Thank you,
Marshall Galbraith

CS1 - Tandem Spheres Hex Meshes

All,

Steve Karman of Pointwise has provided updated hex meshes for the CS1 tandem sphere test case. The old hex meshes have been replaced with new meshes here using the same file names as the old meshes. Please let me know if you have problems with the new meshes.

Thank you,

Marshall Galbraith

CR1 Updated Meshes

All,

We found some poor quality elements in the CR1 Common Research Model meshes. The meshes have been fixed and updated here. Please feel free to contact me if you have any problems with the meshes.

Thank you,

Marshall Galbraith

gmsh files and MC1 update

All,

Edwin van der Weide and Koen Hillewaert have graciously assisted with converting the CGNS grid files provided by Steve Karman from pointwise to the gmsh file format. Thus, gmsh files are now available for the CR1, CS1, and MC1 test cases.

Update for CI2 initial condition

All,

We have posted a minor correction to the initial condition for the CI2 inviscid strong vortex interaction test case. We made the following change regarding the initial condition: the definition of u from the originally defined value of 1.775 (round off value) to an alternative derived equation (equation is described in the pdf-file). Using the original initial condition may produce a negligible error, but we would like to define it as a more accurate value. We have also updated the python script with the equation.

Finalized Website and Test Case Updates

All,

Thank you for your interest in the high order workshop. I wanted to inform you of a few updates. The how5.cenaero.be website is finalized. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or corrections.

For anyone working on meshes for the meshing challenging cases, we would appreciate if you could get in touch with the corresponding test leaders as soon as possible. We need to post meshes to the website as soon as possible for people to try using them.

We also have the following updates:
